NATASHA BEAL
Owner/Publisher

Natasha Beal’s career has come beautifully full circle. She first fell in love with publishing when she was a copy editor at her college newspaper, but then moved into a career in sales. In January 2017, she was looking for a career change and the Deer Valley Times became available and—on a leap of faith—she purchased it. Now, just a few short years later, she has transformed one hyperlocal community newspaper into seven: the Deer Valley Times has transitioned into North Phoenix News, and is now joined by North Tatum Times, Paradise Valley View, Scottsdale North News, The Scottsdale Standard, The Upper Westsider, and The Kyrene Times. She and her small but mighty team also recently launched Epic Kids, a monthly kids’ publication distributed directly into the backpacks of local private and charter school students. All these publications fall under EG Publishing, the publishing business she owns alongside husband Brian Beal, her absolute favorite person to do life and business with. She credits her success to her passion for helping small businesses thrive and her talented team, who work—and play—just as hard as she does. Outside of work, she loves rock climbing and paddle boarding, napping and being a mom.
